There’s a cute case with black-and-white dots and pink edges. My kid is a little creeped out by “Mama’s” firey red eyes, so I’ll be passing on this deal. Sunday, January 4th, 2009You’ll see a lot of DS games and accessories pictured in this week’s ads, but that doesn’t mean they’re reduced in price. Here are some that are:
Toys R Us has Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades marked down to $34.99 for the bundle with grip, or $24.99 for the software only. (The bundle is regularly $49.99 and the software is regularly $34.99.)
Best Buy has a DS Lite Accessory Bundle of $19.99, which is $10 off. The bundle appears to vary, but it includes a game (the print ad shows Deal or No Deal; online it’s table games) as well as other accessories such as a screen protector and stylus. Also at Best Buy, all My Coach games are $19.99, including the My Weight Coach game that’s regularly $39.99 and comes with a pedometer. My Spanish Coach and My Japanese Coach are among the other $19.99 games, regularly priced at $29.99.
Target has Cooking Mama: 2 for $19.99. The Guitar Hero: On Tour original plus Decades bundle is $59. A Hannah Montana or High School Musical DS accessories bundle is $28. Also at Target is a glittery reddish pink Hello Kitty DS carrying case for $19.99, but it’s not clear whether that’s the regular price.
Amazon marks top-selling Nintendo DS games down
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008Amazon.com has cut prices by $3 to $7 or more on a bunch of Nintendo DS games. These are among the most popular, top-selling games so it’s not common to find sales like this, and I’m not sure how long it will last. The list includes:

Nintendogs Dalmatian
The weekly ad just came out, and used Nintendogs cartridges are $19.99 through Nov. 13. Pre-owned Nintendogs games are usually $24.99 at GameStop, so it’s a great deal! Choose from four titles: Dalmatian and Friends, Dachshund and Friends, Labrador Retriever and Friends or Chihuahua and Friends. If you like your dogs new and fresh, the Amazon 3 for the price of 2 sale is still on through Nov. 8, and Nintendogs games are included in the deal, priced at $29.99, except the limited edition Dalmatian title is $34.99.

Retailers are noticing (gasp!) that the economy has been pretty crummy and people are gearing up to spend less this holiday season. That’s good news for people looking to buy a Nintendo DS console and/or games for Christmas, Hannukah or just for fun. Each week, I’m going to post deals I’ve seen for the DS Lite console as well as games.
At Amazon.com, through Saturday, Nov. 8, if you buy two of a group of selected popular Nintendo DS games, you get one of equal or lesser value free. They include Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Crosswords DS
At Walmart, there’s a bundle deal where you can save $30. You choose a console plus you get an accessory kit and choice of two games (there’s a list of 13 to choose from).
If your Circuit City isn’t one of the 155 closing (and probably even if it is), you can get a character-themed case free with the purchase of a Nintendo DS Lite console. The deal is good through Saturday, Nov. 8.
And if you have kids or have Pokemon games on your DS, show up to Toys R Us on Saturday or Sunday Nov. 8 or 9 between noon and 4 p.m. If you bring your DS plus Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl Game Card, you get get Dragonite for free, plus $5 off any DS game with Dragonite in it. Also through Nov. 8 at Toys R Us, you can save $20 when you purchase two of the following: Wall-E, Lego Batman, Kung Fu Panda or Star Wars Force Unleashed.
