The pack costs $157.95 is available in stores and at ToysRus.com while supplies last. It includes a DS Lite starter kit, Neoprene case and two game cartridges selected from a list of eligible games. The sale begins Friday, Nov. 20 and ends Sunday, Nov. 22. Also, DS games are buy one, get one half off.

DS Lite Green Bundle

Just in time for Mother’s Day gift-giving, Nintendo has come out with a DS Lite Spring Bundle that includes a green DS Lite console, green-and-white floral DS Lite case and the popular Personal Trainer: Cooking game.

The bundle retails for $149.99. It’s not supposed to go on sale until May 3, but I saw it on display at my local Toys R Us. You can also preorder from Amazon.

People who have been following the Black Friday previews know there are two Nintendo DS bundles that many stores will have for sale that day of their release, Nov. 28. But Nintendo just yesterday officially released details about the Mario and Ice Blue DS bundles, which are considered to be “limited edition” but actually should be available long after Black Friday. The suggested retail price is $149.99, but several stores have advertised them for about $140. Yesterday, Amazon began offering the bundles for preorder at $134.95. (Shipping is free.) The Mario console is emblazoned with the Mario M and the Mario bundle includes a copy of New Super Mario Bros, while the Ice Blue Nintendo DS Bundle includes a custom carrying case and Brain age.

Retail value is $179.97. The games are: Wall-E, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Pokemon Rangers Shadow of Almia and Tinkerbell. Not a bad deal, if you or someone on your gift list wants one of those games.

A word to the wise about value packs, or any buy 1-get 1 deals and things like that: Don’t buy into the bundle or deal thinking you can game the system by returning what you don’t want later. In almost all cases, they’ll just readjust the price and you’ll lose your savings.
