Thanks to a comment tip on my earlier Burger King Nintendo Kids Meal post, I headed out to BK tonight (Dec. 1) and snagged two Nintendo toys, part of a Wii promotion. I got Mario Kart Yoshi as well as my old pal, Donkey Kong (I used to make a quarter last for my mom’s entire grocery shopping trip back in the mid-’80s.) I didn’t actually want a kids’ meal so I paid $1.49 per toy. Actually, I think they undercharged me; your mileage may vary. The other toys (several with Nintendo DS game connections) in the series are: Whirl ‘n Twirl Princess Peach, Float and Go Boo, Chain Chomp Launcher, Rumbling Tumbling Donkey Kong, Mario to the Rescue, Light-Up Luma, Galaxy Blast Mario and Metroid Challenge. (The Donkey Kong toy pictured is Flip and Stick Donkey Kong.) The toys come with coupons for selected Wii games.
