The Christmas Day newspaper inserts reveal a few sales that will appeal to new Nintendo DS Lite owners, or anyone with a DS system. Here are some of the deals:
Toys R Us is offering buy one, get one half-off on all video games priced at $19.99 or less. That includes popular DS titles such as Personal Trainer: Cooking, Lego Star Wars and Soul Bubbles. (If Soul Bubbles drops to $10 again, I’m going to get it. The reviews are so good, and the DS Download trial was fun.) Also at TRU, all DS Petz, Pet Rescue, Imagine and Ener-G games are buy one get one free. And if you find you’re lacking a car charger, headphones, extra styluses and similar basics, check out Toys R Us’s selection of DS starter kits, 25 percent off from Dec. 26-Jan 3.
Circuit City has a three-day sale, and that includes Dec. 25 online deals, so it runs through Saturday, Dec. 27. Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades for DS comes with a $10 gift card and is priced at $49.99. A Verge stylus four-pack is half off at $2.49. And the Naki G-Pak Carrying Case for DS is on sale for $17.99.
GameStop has deals good from Dec. 26-28. Save $10 when you buy Guitar Hero On Tour and Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades for Nintendo DS. Petz, Ener-G and Imagine games are buy one, get one free here as well. Save $10 on Ninja Town, which has gotten rave reviews and is a bargain at $19.99. Lego Batman is also $19.99, a $10 savings.
