About DS Diva
This is not an “expert blog” but rather a site intended to help newbies along when deciding whether to buy a Nintendo DS, which games to consider buy or rent and what accessories they need—or don’t need at all but are just cute. Not to stereotype, but even Nintendo is acknowledging through its print and TV ad campaigns that the adult female market has specific interests when it comes to games and the handheld gaming experience. Sure, women can play action games with the best of them, but we also can’t wait to rock out to Guitar Hero on Tour Decades Bundle, check out the latest Animal Crossing DS
and whip something up with Cooking Mama 2: Dinner With Friends
. Then, we might want to chill out with Crosswords DS
or Zenses: Ocean Edition
. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Neither did I, just a few months ago.
When I bought my Nintendo DS Lite, I did a lot of research to make sure it was the right handheld for me, and also to be sure I was getting a good deal. Also, I don’t have a huge budget for games, so I research the features of each before considering a purchase. Through this blog, I’ll pass what I learn along to you.
I love sales! I’ll share lists of new Nintendo DS Lite game releases as well as point out various sales in stores and online. Why pay full price when you can buy 2 get 1, or even buy 1 get 1? I’ll also pass along info about bundles, Black Friday sales and more!
I bought my first Nintendo handheld system back in 1989: The original GameBoy. I still have it, and it still works. It’s a clunky gray thing that only shows games in black and white (actually kinda green), but thinking back it’s amazing what they were able to do in the way of video games back then. Nintendo still rocks, no matter your age or gender.
DSDiva.com has several readers in mind. If you’re (like me) a 30-something mom who remembers clobbering Donkey Kong in the ’80s and wants to squeeze a few relaxing—or energizing—time outs into a busy day, consider the Nintendo DS. If your kids have one and you want to know what all the fuss is about, this site is for you. And if you just like fun handheld video games and cute cases, skins and accessories, you’ll like it here at DSDiva.com. If you’re a boy, we won’t send you away, but you’re not allowed to make fun of Hello Kitty!
